General description of the collection: The collection contains the papers of the Agony Grapevine as well as the papers of the 106th Infantry Division Association. Agony Grapevine materials include correspondence of Mrs. Duward B. Frampton, Sr., from 1945 to 1948, and lists of the missing from Feb 1945 to Apr 1945, some annotated. This collection contains correspondence and publications of the 106th Infantry Division Association. The collection primarily consists of Reference files including veteran's memoirs, news clippings, thesis papers, articles, book excerpts, and official documents on the 106th Infantry Division, its units and veterans, and other WWII topics of interest to the association. The personal papers of three members, Francis P. Conroy, Kenneth J. Kurtenbach, and Phillip A. Shaeffer, are also included in the reference files. Photographs of the 7th Annual Reunion, held in 1953, are also included. One box of oversized materials contains large photographs, artwork for the 7th Annual Reunion, print sheets from the associations' publications, and a special newspaper section on D-Day.
